Q1、 Am I qualified to participate in this activity?
  All youth 18~30 years of age from any country or region (excepting Taiwan) with a love of travel, photography, being creative and sharing their adventures with others are welcome to participate. (note: eligible participants must be born between January 1, 1981 and December 31, 1993)
Q2、 Okay, I meet both qualification requirements. So, how do I register to participate?
  Please visit the “Registration and uploading plan” page on the official website to download the Application Form and Travel Plan Form. After you’ve filled out both completely, upload them via the Forms Upload link to complete your entry registration.
Q3、 I’ve never visited Taiwan and don’t know much about the country. Do you have any recommendations on how I should get started on writing a travel itinerary?
  We recommend visiting the National Youth Commission’s Taiwan Youth Travel website(http://youthtravel.tw/)and Tourism Bureau website(http://eng.taiwan.net.tw/)to learn more about Taiwan and Taiwan travel. You may also visit other youth travel websites and personal travel blogs to get insights into Taiwan travel from others with more experience.
Q4、 After visiting the NYC Youth Travel website, I still have some questions about Taiwan. Where do you recommend I turn to next for answers?
  You may submit your questions to the Travel Expert forum on the NYC Youth Travel Website (website registration required). For the duration of this activity, we will keep the forum manned by travel volunteers 24 hours a day to make sure your questions are answered quickly and fully.
Q5、 If I am selected as a winner, when should I take my trip to Taiwan?
  Activity rules require that all winners complete their Taiwan travel between March and August of 2012. For additional rules and requirements, please visit the official activity website.
Q6、 I still have a few questions regarding this activity. Who should I contact?

Q7、 Should travel itineraries be for individual tourists or for group travel?There are three of us who would like to participate.Could we submit an itinerary together as one entry?
  Travel plans should be for single-person youth treks to Taiwan. However,you and your friends are each welcome to submit your own itineraries!
Q8、 What is meant by the requirement to utilize at least two Youth Travel System services?Do you mean I must mention in my travel itinerary how I used the systems to search for information?
  You may use as appropriate in your travel planning two or more services available through the Youth Travel services System (e.g.,the NYC website,Youth Travel Card, Tour Buddy [volunteer guide service],Digital Tour Buddy [cell phone lending service],and Youth Travel Spots).Pleasw refer to the activity’s official webpage for participation rules and other helpful hints.
Q9、 Must my travel itinerary specify means of transportation and lodging?
  Your Taiwan travel itinerary must run for at least ten days. Please indicate your recommended means of transportation and places of lodging (please limit your itineraries to using public transportation and bicycles and staying at budget accommodations (refer to the NYC Youth Guesthouse network)
Q10、 With regard to the Tour Buddy program…If I make an e-mail reservation, am I guaranteed that someone will be available when I arrive in Taiwan? Is there a fee associated with this service? Also, is there a minimum number for groups?
  Tour Buddy services are provided by university student volunteers. As such, scheduling must fit in with student class and other obligations. Please make your reservations first by e-mail. As long as your requested times match those of Tour Buddy volunteers, a volunteer will be scheduled to provide tour services. There is no fee associated with this service.
Q11、 I am an independent traveler to Taiwan from Mainland China. Am I qualified to participate in this activity?
  Free independent travel (FIT) by youths to Taiwan from Mainland China is currently restricted to youth from Shanghai, Xiamen and Beijing. Youth travelers to Taiwan from Mainland China must meet regulations outlined in the document FIT Travel to Taiwan by Citizens of Mainland China and make all arrangements for relevant documents and approvals in order to participate in the Youth Trekkers Wanted campaign.
